There are times when it feels like no one will truly understand you. When it feels like it’s you against everyone and everything else, just waiting for a big break or someone to come save you.
That big break may take longer than you think, and honestly, no one is coming to save you; they’re all busy saving themselves. Do you give up on living then? Or do you choose to be stuck in that bubble forever?
There are things that will always be outside your control, no matter how hard you try to be in charge. You do not orchestrate occurrences, but a few good choices made here and there over the years give you an edge.
That edge does not mean you are now in charge, but through it, you can now understand you were only meant to control the little things. The hours you sleep, the food you eat, what work you do, how clean your space is, or who you spend your time with.
There are days when these are the only things you can call the shots on, and honestly, that’s okay. Today’s world makes you feel like you should always be doing big things. Traveling the world, affording the most exotic things, or “living your best life.”
That kind of life is a facade, and makes it easy to idolize celebrities. You only see them doing the big things, but never the little things that make all our existence. You assume their lives must be special because you don’t see their struggles.

If everything you do today is taking a bath or having a quiet time, you have done something noteworthy. Regardless of whether others don’t think it’s post-worthy, it was within your power to choose yourself, and you did. The little things give you a shot at the big ones, and the time spent on them is worthwhile, even if you don’t see it yet.
Here’s a song for you – Trust me, mate – Dean Lewis.
It’s 10:47pm but still monday, what’s stronger than a commitment? A habit. I hope this is a great start to Tuesday❤️
