Here’s what really matters in responsibility

A huge portion of your reality is what you make of it. Situations will play out based on your perception and how you handle them. It’s safe to say you’re responsible for your life.

A lot of factors are of influence, like family, environment, DNA and the likes but there’s one thing that is yours- choice.

If you’re above 18, you’re old enough to decide for yourself. Prior to that age, your decisions are collective. They’re based on other people’s opinion on what they think you should do with your life.

Past eighteen, you have no one to blame for your life. You exhausted the dependency bundle, and it’s on you now.

It might be hard to come to terms with that, especially if you’re not in an enabling environment or the odds aren’t in your favor.

It still doesn’t change the fact that you’re an adult, and your dependence is very limited to you. I’m saying this because it’s a new year. You need to remove the veils and face life head on.

Dependency makes you play the game safe. It keeps you in your comfort zone, and your purest self stays in the dark.

You know that feeling where you never imagined doing something and then you do it. Unlocking a newest feature of self you never knew existed, that’s what you do as an adult.

You push past the limits of familiarity, the confinement of comfort, and the box of dependence. I’m asking you to do just one thing this year. Be responsible for your life.
