Hey! Welcome back to Grace’s blog, thank you for being consistent and always letting me have a part of your time. To my new readers, it’s such an honour to be graced with your attention and the presence of mind, I hope this will not be the last time.

How often do you try new things? You know, doing something outside the box. I’m not talking about everyday routine, or those boring schedules though. When was the last time you went about a mind or capabilities stretch.
It’s easy to say; ‘oh that’s just me’, and people that know you are so sure of your reactions. In short, you are so predictable. How about a little bit of surprise here and there.
I understand why a lot of people will prefer a mundane life, it’s simple, peaceful and the regularity of occurrences is a security you would not want to change. On the other hand, there is so much you don’t know and might never do, I cannot live with the possibility of that, and you shouldn’t either.
I always believe there are better ways to get something done. Something as basic as moving from point A to B in real time led to the invention of fast cars. If everyone thought riding horses was efficient, technology would still be stuck in the days when pigeons was your best Whatsapp.
Someone told me this past week, that if something works fine, it doesn’t mean it can’t be improved on. When was the last time you questioned the way your mind works and how true your beliefs are?
Life is always going to happen anyway, and there’s always something to fuss about but before then how about you intentionally fussing about something for your own good.
Let’s say being subjective in your approach has always been your thing, trying to be objective today would not be a bad idea. Trying both approaches will provide an insight into which works better. I know we have our set ways of thinking and going through life, but what that does is put you in a box that you most likely never get out of. You end up being constantly bound by your own knots.
Try something new today, you might never know, that could end up being your new thing. It’s totally okay to stand for something you didn’t believe in or criticized at some point. That is why we are humans anyway, we adapt when we need to or evolve when we have to. There are always better ways to get something done.
Don’t be an oldie stuck in your old ways, the world is moving fast, and if you’re stuck on the ideas that define your personality, you’re always going to be left behind.
No, don’t do things that directly negate your beliefs, values or principles. Do something that improves them, grow please, you’re not stagnant. Stop limiting yourself.
It’s like if you have never eaten something, you’re not sure if you like it or not if you don’t try it. There’s nothing to be scared of about taking risks. If it turns out good, fine, if it doesn’t, you learnt how to do something better.
It’s always a win win for you. Don’t be afraid as life will go on anyway, so wouldn’t it be better on your own terms and if you really had control instead of constraining yourself?
