I am a Yoruba girl, and we are known for being the merry tribe. Always looking for excuses to call for celebrations and throw it down, but no, I am not telling you to celebrate your small wins from that stand point (partly 😂), because it’s already in my DNA but also because it’s really important.

Everyone has something they work towards, and we all have the tendency to focus all our energy and resources on that one thing we want and some times we do not recognize our small achievements or we just downplay the small wins that ultimately lead us to where we want to be.

I am not saying throw a party because your crush finally had a conversation with you (one shot though😜) I am saying buy yourself a drink because you did not snooze on your alarm this past week or wear your favorite shirt because you forgave everyone that offended you yesterday.

See there’s always something to celebrate and be grateful for, the truth is you are not looking hard enough, you are not seeing how hard you’re trying and how you get up everyday with the resolve to do better than you did yesterday.

Remember from our patience article (it’s not too late to catch up) big things are coming and because they are big, they take time. You at least deserve to pat yourself on the back for being you and for all other small wins you don’t count.

It’ll eventually add up I promise, keep this up and you’ll see. On that note, don’t be surprised if you get an invite to celebrate my eating strawberries for the first time🤷🏼‍♀️ just never had it before now, make sure to play the intro video and 😃 smile
