Polyglot…

Polyglot – knowing or using several languages

Once you understand a language, you do not go back to not understanding it, nor can you choose not to anymore. You can read and comprehend what I write now but there was a time you couldn’t. I’m quite sure you do not recall what it was like when you didn’t.

When someone speaks a language you understand, you can comprehend, even when you do not want to. It’s like listening to a radio program on public transport, you mostly don’t want to hear it but your mind puts the pieces together either way.

This is what I imagine taking advice from more experienced people feels like, it’s a language only they understand and the reason you’re reluctant to listen is because you do not speak that language neither can you comprehend the experience.

That being said, not all languages can be understood if there is no active communication. For instance, you begin learning spanish but you don’t live in Spain or have someone you constantly interact with in spanish; slowly, your understanding slips away.

Some things you have to experience yourself to fully grasp it, not all experiences should or can be avoided. You have to actively interact with the language, like a person who speaks love fluently, the heartbreak language seems all too foreign.

But, as much as you can, learn languages. In other words, learn from experiences. If you can save yourself the troubles of going through the basics of each language, please do. You do not have to learn only from your experiences neither is there a medal for who has seen the most “shege” in their lifetime.

You’re not the first to go through the caliber of your “a lot” and you would not be the last, try not to be so close minded. We’re all just trying to find a way in this world, a little tip is not a bad idea.

FYI – I wrote about three articles in the last two weeks but the “maths was not mathsing“, I decided to take a vote by my personalities and this won. I hope you enjoyed it. See you next week!
