Hello☺️ Welcome back to Grace’s blog, I hope you had an amazing week? Thank you for taking the time out for this, enjoy ☺️

What do we do when things don’t go as planned? We improvise all right! If you can remember who and which movie said this, you have a special place in my heart.
By now I should acquaint us with the fact that life never goes as planned or intended. If it still is, relax, something is cooking.
Personally, I have always considered these twists and turns to be what makes life meaningful. Perhaps who wants stress and why can’t I just get everything I want? Then what would your story be? What will they say about you when you’re no more?
The person who had everything he/she wanted? Or the one that made lemonade out of the lemons life gave. Dear reader, everyone has problems and your problems are unique to you. Please stop wasting so much time worrying about your problem not being same as the other person.
They are not you, neither are you them. Every single person you know has something you don’t, just as you have something they don’t. It is what makes us unique and the master of our stories. How many chapters will you keep on featuring other characters in your story?
What happened to the main character? So busy fussing about why the supporting character is way better, so why should you be in the story? This leaves no time for you to act out your own story.
I read a book where a psychologist said that people like lists, rules, or laws as I’d prefer to call it, and as much as we dispute that, without it, there would be chaos. Like it or not, we all have rules that govern our value system, although we dislike it to be called that, but I want to give you a list of things to do when you compare yourself to other people.
Look in the mirror- I’m not saying assess how you look and forget moments later or a glance for awareness. No, look at yourself squarely, see who you really are, see how you’re the only one that has that squint in their left eye when you laugh. See how beautiful you are, how unique the thoughts that come into your mind at that moment completely belong to you. No one knows it except you. That’s your power, don’t lose hold of it.
Gratitude– you might have it bad, dear, but a lot more have it worse. It’s so hard for us to see beyond ourselves. What comparison breeds is unhealthy competition, low self-esteem, anxiety and just being hard on yourself. For something you don’t have, there are many others that you have and ignore. You take one aspect of your life and measure it against another person’s, like that’s the only thing there is to your entire reality.
Don’t be sad – there is no point, and it’s a complete waste of time and energy. Whatever or whoever you’re comparing yourself with doesn’t change. What’s hilarious is they do not know. You just keep beating yourself up over a problem you selfishly created. It yields nothing except to rob you of the moment.
Go get it – all that energy should not go to waste, since you have enough to create a problem where there is none, you should have enough to solve it then. Instead of comparing, construct. It is not a sin to want what someone else has until you covet or steal it. Go get yours. It’s that simple really, stop wasting time. If you can’t get through with it, you didn’t want it in the first place; you were just being jealous.
Comparison is a thief of joy, don’t bring that negative energy into your life.
