If you have read the Great Gatsby or seen the movie, welcome to today’s article. If you haven’t, it’s not too late to grab the book or movie. Trust me you would enjoy the story.

I watched the movie before reading the book and I can’t shake the fact that enough justice was not done to visualizing the book, I have friends that think otherwise.

It’s a love story which isn’t cliché at all, the lovebirds do not end up together neither was there a happily ever after. You might start to think then why should I see the movie or read the book?

Well, it’s because it’ll give you another insight into what love is, or what you think love is and how these people loved. It’s a fiction that gives you the possibility of a kind of love or circumstantial feeling you would never have guessed if I must say.

But as popular as Gatsby and Daisy was (the whole book was about them both by the way). The character that stood out for me was Mr Carraway, the book was written in his character and the movie shot from his point of view.

He was someone I would describe as emotionally intelligent and selectively picked his interests and what bothered him. He cared and he also did not really care. He made calculated decisions and the most fascinating thing about him is how he observed EVERYTHING.

I particularly picked interest because I learnt a lot from him, he was a part of their world but also had a world that was secluded to him and his mind. He also had the kind of maturity that you could only have gotten through practice and patience.

Why the story, well I write because I love to share what I learn, and that’s why I also want you to learn from Mr. Carraway, how he was particularly attentive to every detail and no matter what was going on around him. He had a mind and a life that was undeterred. I think he gave Mark Manson the manuscript for “the subtle art of not giving a fuck book” (I’m just saying😊)
